Kandivita Samaunnayon Mahila Samity (KASMAS) is a local nonpolitical and volunteer organization for Social development. Since its establishment in 2000, the organization has been contributing to improving the quality of life and protecting their rights through strategic transformation, prioritizing the needs and socio-economic needs of all extremely poor, destitute, neglected and marginalized communities.
The vision of KASMAS (কসমস) is to develop the capacity and skills of the members of socially and economically disadvantaged people in Bangladesh. It is working and assist the Disadvantaged people at grass root level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity. Therefore it will take all necessary initiatives /measurer towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems & condition by themselves towards improving their quality of life.
The vision of KASMAS (কসমস) is to build up a dream society with poverty free, unemployed free , pollution free, socially, economically self-reliant and conscious about basic rights, human rights and human dignity. Besides through the capacity building with the combination of science & technology also build a modern generation.
The work of A Kandivita Samaunnayon Mahila Samity (KASMAS) was limited to Distribution of food and food items, Distribution of trees and seeds, Distribution of domestic animals and birds, Distribution of wearable and winter clothes, provide financial assistance, literature, cultural activities, Sports activities and other social activities in the beginning. KASMAS (কসমস) was started the journey toward advancement since 2001 with some precise activities and administrative structure as project based development organization.
Kandivita Samaunnayon Mahila Samity (KASMAS) has been working by implementing various activities in the areas of human rights and good governance by promoting gender equality, education, health and sanitation so as to empower and ensure the security of the livelihood of the backward poor people of the society. This organization also has been working by implementing other activities like Health & Healthcare, Drinking Water, Water Rights, Land Watershed Protection Movement, Agriculture, Environment Movement, Climate Change Prevention Movement, Science & Technological Ability, Family Planning, Population Balance and Social Justice, Good Governance and job creation.
